Some truck stake pockets aren't as open as they look. On 2009+ Dodge RAM trucks, the rear stake pocket appears open at the top, but a plastic lip actually wraps around and extends a few inches down inside the pocket. For a BullRing retractable tie-down anchor to install correctly, its stainless steel plate needs to sit flush against the metal bed - and that hidden plastic lip gets in the way.

BullRing's rear pocket saw bit is designed to solve this. Chucked into a standard router, the saw blade cuts the plastic lip away just below the metal line, clearing the path for a proper anchor fit. Follow up with BullRing's router bit #5566 to clean up any remaining plastic on top of the pocket for a smooth, finished opening.

This tool is designed specifically to prep 2009+ Dodge RAM rear stake pockets ahead of a BullRing retractable anchor install. It's not a standalone accessory - it's a purpose-built step in getting a clean, properly seated anchor installation.

Features

  • Preps hidden stake pockets: 2009+ Dodge Ram rear stake pockets look open but have a plastic lip that wraps down inside the pocket a few inches - this saw bit is built specifically to cut that lip away.
  • Required for proper anchor contact: BullRing retractable anchors need their stainless steel plate to sit directly against the metal bed. Until the hidden plastic lip is removed, the anchor can't seat correctly - this bit clears the way.
  • Fits standard routers: The 0.25" bit diameter is compatible with standard routers for a straightforward two-step cutting process — no specialty equipment required beyond the tools you already use for stake pocket trim work.
